The Beretta M92F is a semi automatic pistol, frequently used by the U.S Armed forces.
This handgun was Solid Snake's weapon of choice during the Outer Heaven Crisis and the Zanzibar Land Uprising.
Many years later, both Snake and Raiden used a modified M9 during the Big Shell Incident. This version of the pistol had been modified to fire anesthetic rounds instead of the usual bullets, making it a non fatal alternate weapon.
